May 22nd: on Sunday, May 16th, ten-year-old Ornichleel Ulysse and her mother arrived at Kennedy Airport in New York from Port au Prince, Haiti. She became a below-knee amputee after being injured in the tragic January 12th earthquake. She spent the week receiving prosthetic care donated by A Step Ahead, represented by Philip Kreuter in photo’s front right. In photo back right is Henry Thertus who represented Haiti Relief Fund. Henry served as the interpreter to assist the process for the week while she was receiving prosthetic care, interpreter services donated by Haiti Relief Fund. Haiti Relief Fund Inc. would like to thank Mr. Erik Schaffer from A Step Ahead and the staff for their great work. Haiti Relief Fund Inc. would also like to send our best wishes to Ornichleel and her family.
